The W.K. Kellogg Foundation selected the MICA Group to facilitate Tribal and statewide planning to address the educational achievement gap of vulnerable children living in New Mexico.
MICA selected the Zuni Public School District (ZPSD) and the Zuni Pueblo to support in the development of their five-year strategic plan for educational transformation and leadership. The ZPSD was aligned with MICA’s mission and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s vision to approach educational challenges through an equity lens and to explore innovative approaches to community–based planning and engagement. MICA supported the Tribe in successfully developing its strategic plan, entitled “Weaving the Future,” which focused on areas such as public policy, civic participation, and strategic leveraging of funding.
